River running
Round roads
Making its way through divots and holes
Animals drink now and then
The water glimmers like a gem
Never ending streams
Meandering to the sea
They carry fish and debris
Bouncing off the side
Watching the sunrise
As ducks and reptiles glide
The river curves through the landscape escaping the light
Meaning the creatures struggle to thrive
Waterfalls making a splash
Causing a huge natural crash
The water plays a nice cello
Creating a fellow as the animals bellow
The river is both a friend and foe
The fish will stay here even though
